Chuck Wendig’s third novel in the Star Wars Aftermath trilogy was released this week (February 21 2017). I’m about one quarter into the first book in the trilogy, and after reading about some of the events this book describes, I am interested in continuing to read the trilogy to the end.
The battle of Jakku is apparently a key action scene in Empire’s End. Random House Books, the publisher, shared a description of what to expect. One sentence in the description reads:
“As the Imperial fleet orbits Jakku, an armada of Republic fighters closes in to finish what began at Endor.” – Random House Books.
Using “Jakku” and “Endor” in the same sentence is just one example illustrating that the Star Wars producers and media managers want to link together the original Star Wars trilogy with episode seven, eight, and further Star Wars films.
Chuck Wendig talked about his Star Wars novels and writing on the official Star Wars Blog, and you can find more information about the third book, Star Wars Aftermath: Empire’s End, and the earlier two volumes at Random House Books.
